1) HackEd Registration is now open

WHO: Anyone interested in hackathons
WHEN: Saturday, 19, January @ 10:00am - Sunday, 20, January
WHERE: Donadeo Innovation Centre for Engineering
WHAT: HackED is Alberta's largest student run hackathon, and registration is now open! It's people of all levels of skill and experience. If you couldn't go to HackED Beta or are ready for another one, you should register now while tickets last!

Hackathons are for designing, creating, and building awesome projects. HackED is the premiere, annual, 24-hour hackathon from the Computer Engineering Club of the University of Alberta.
This event is for hackers who choose to learn because they can, and build because they love it. We’re about working together and applying yourself, your skills and your creativity.

2) Resume and Cover Letter Workshop

WHO: Students looking to increase their employ-ability

WHAT: The first step to getting employed is a good resume and cover letter, and it never hurts to have another pair of eyes. Attend this workshop to bolster your chances of getting the interview!

3) Networking/Career Branding

WHO: Students looking to develop their brand
WHEN: Tuesday, January 8th, @ 12:30pm - 2:00pm
WHERE: DICE 8-207
WHAT: Having a resume is great, but you need to have people to give it to. Learn the ins and outs of establishing your brand, and put it into practice. Attend this networking session to get started on that process.

4) Cracking the Interview

WHO: Students looking to improve their interview skills
WHEN: Wednesday, January 9th, @ 5:00pm - 7:00pm
WHERE: ECERF W2-050
WHAT: Your resume is top notch, and employers are interested. The next step in the process is acing the interview. Practice makes perfect, attend this workshop to refine those interview skills.

5) Meet a Computer Engineer

WHO: Students looking to learn about the engineering profession
WHEN: Thursday, January 10th, @ 5:00pm - 8:00pm
WHERE: ECERF W2-050
WHAT: Meet a Computer Engineer is an opportunity to network and learn how computer engineering translates to industry. Come out and make some connections. This is the final CompE week event. It's time to apply most of the things you learned in the events up until now.

6) COOP Survey

WHO: Coop students who have went on at least one work term

WHAT: This survey asks basic questions about Place Pro and Coop work terms. This data will be used to figure out potential issues and concerns that can be brought up to the Coop Coordinators to address these concerns. It's a short survey so please fill it out if it applies to you.
